What happened when an award winning London interior designer moved to Bedfordshire?

October 2018 I moved life and business to Linslade, a suburb of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Having brought our first home together, a huge renovation project, as if I was gonna buy a ready made home, we moved in with with in-laws for 8 weeks whilst we set about carrying out most of the renovation works ourselves.

Check out my IGTV to see the story of the renovation. We are not finished yet so there will be some more videos coming soon………

With so much to do physically, we were exhausted so decided to make the house habitable and move in in time for Christmas.

In February 2019 I decided that I wanted to grow my company and that it was time to take on a premises, but not just a place where I could run my interior design business from, but I wanted a space that I could invite other like like minded women freelancers to co-work alongside me, because lets face it working by yourself can be quite isolating. Later on this year there will be scheduled workshops plus the space is available to hire for meetings and events.

The space was rather uninspiring, having been empty for over a year it was being used as extra storage by the shop beneath. Fast forward 2 months, lots of paint, all new furniture, bespoke window treatments and a whole new rebrand, The White House Showroom & Design Studio now looks like this…………

This year has been a year of purpose and I can tell you now there is so much more to come……

If you are interested in working from a super stylish and inspirational space or hiring it out for your next meeting or event then get in touch. And if you need anymore convincing then see what some of my happy customers are saying!

“We have had a fantastic experience with Charmaine at The White House Interiors. We booked this venue for a small workshop that we were hosting and the service has been second to none. The venue itself is great, as you’d of course expect it to be being an interior design showroom but it offered us the perfect space, would be great for small group networking, workshops, meetings. Really refreshing to have this type of space in Leighton Buzzard.”

“What a beautiful studio for co-working. Everything you could need; kitchen area for grabbing a hot drink (there were even chocolate biscuits!) comfy chairs, speedy wifi and plenty of sockets for plugging in laptops/chargers etc.
The studio is furnished with beautifully scented candles, stylish furnishings, copious amounts of space to work; a really relaxing and informal way to co-work.

“Co-working here was just the sort of space I was looking for. There's a lovely community-focused & encouraging atmosphere, in a beautiful (quiet & light-filled) space. I'd highly recommend co-working here and look forward to returning. I had everything I need: fast internet, comfy tidy surroundings and chocolate biscuits.
